The Treasury Solutions & Development (TSD) Organization supports the Total Information Processing Support Services (TIPSS) contract vehicle which is used by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) for IT contractor support needs. TSD provides various levels of IT products and services including software development, operations and maintenance (O&M), project management office (PMO) support and network management. TSD employees of various levels and skills sets across the US at various IRS facilities and Leidos offices.
The Treasury Solutions & Development (TSD) organization is looking for a Network Engineer for a position in Lanham, MD - New Carrollton Federal Building (NCFB). This position requires the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance with a federal and state tax compliance check in order to be considered.
Leidos is seeking customer-oriented Network Engineer for work on the Network Management Control Center (NMCC) Program with the Department of Treasury, Internal Revenue Service (IRS).
Job
Responsibilities:
Incident Management
Drafting new or updated SOPs for government review.
Submittal of weekly reports on issues worked and status of incidents
Provide maintenance of the installed NMCC or T-NET infrastructure as assigned to ensure that the equipment and systems operate in accordance with Government-approved performance standards and/or Government provided KPIs and any other objectives as defined by the customer
Event Management
Manage the Event Management process for assigned elements of the network or computing infrastructure.
Analyze the thresholds and subsequent events and alerts that are created to determine the right balance between events, alerts and the capacity of network providers to respond.
Perform Continuous Process Improvement to ensure the Event Management process improvements are made and processes are followed
Access management
Manage access to assigned elements of the infrastructure including connectivity to and integration with monitoring products or services dependent upon assigned components
Change Management
Participate in Enterprise Networks (EN) Change Management procedures when a request is made for a change in the infrastructure, systems, or procedures.
When required to support operations, the Seller will create and update EN Change Management tickets in the Enterprise Change Management System (ECMS) or any future CM system, and follow the established EN Change Management Process.
Knowledge Management
Assist with updating the NMCC Knowledge Management repository by providing timely Knowledge database entries on issues encountered and procedures developed for resolving NNMi issues.
Availability Management
Candidate will be responsible for monitoring the availability assigned components and applications as defined in the EN Availability Management Process and to generating monthly reports in accordance with the NMCC Availability Reporting Process. When existing procedures are not sufficient then new procedures will be drafted for government review.
Ensure the tools are updated when new sites are added or deleted from the infrastructure.
Define proposals for improvement when availability does not meet EN standards.
Release Management
Support the successful rollout of software patches, fixes, and related hardware to ensure that hardware and software being managed is traceable, secure and that only correct, authorized and tested versions are installed.
Provide services to deploy hardware and software patches as approved by the EN Configuration Control Board (CCB).
Qualifications:
Typically requires BS and 4 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 2 years of prior relevant experience.
Required
5 to 8 years' experience managing a large enterprise network, including LAN and WAN technologies based on Cisco hardware and platforms.
Experience working in a Network Operation Center (NOC) environment, responding to trouble tickets and alerts for LAN and WAN environments.
5-10 years of hands on Expertise with Cisco Routers and switches with Similar expertise in networking concepts and equipment such as IPv4 and IPv6, MPLS, PLS and SIP, Load Balancers, Protocol analyzers, and probes.
Candidate must have the ability to work as part of an operations team and be able to support multiple tasks at the same time.
Cisco Certifications: CCNA or higher

Experience with additional network management products such as xMatters, HPOO, HPOM, HPNA, eHealth, StatSeeker, NetScout nGenius, and Infoblox
