Purpose:
The Assistant Service Manager (ASM) is responsible for communicating the service necessary on the vehicles to the technicians. The ASM meets with the customers to initiate automotive services and repairs by ascertaining performance problems and services requested; verifying warranty and service contract coverage; developing estimates; writing repair orders; maintaining customer rapport and records. It is the ASM's responsibility to capture the customer concerns with their vehicle and relay this information to the appropriate outlets.
Responsibilities:
-Fosters and maintains excellent relations between customers and service department.
-Scheduling service appointments according to scheduling policies.
-Greets all incoming customers in a professional and courteous manner.
-Ascertain automotive problems and services by listening to customer's description of symptoms; clarifying description of problems; conducting inspections; taking test drives; checking vehicle maintenance records; examining service schedules.
-Verifies warranty and service contract coverage by examining records and papers; explaining provisions and exclusions.
-Develop estimates by costing materials, supplies, and labor; calculating customer's payment, including deductibles.
-Prepare repair orders (RO) by describing symptoms, problems, and causes discovered, as well as repairs and services required; obtaining approval signatures; entering RO into service database system.
-Verify all possible repair orders are processes on daily basis.
-Maintain customer rapport by explaining estimates and expected return of vehicle; obtaining customer's approval ofEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
